NSO Naga in Focus… CITIZEN’S SATISFACTION CENTER: Seal of Excellence Awarding

The National Statistics Office (NSO) of Naga City is a recipient of the prestigious Citizen’s Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence Award. The awarding rites was held last March 29, 2012 at 1:30 PM, Champagne Garden, Naga City.

The Commission was represented by Director IV Cecilia R. Nieto and Director III Daisy P. Bragais, the CSC Regional Director and Assistant Regional Director respectively. This momentous event commenced with a prayer and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem which was followed by the back to back welcome remarks of the host, CSC Camarines Sur Field Office Director Jocelyn L. Marifosque and Mr. Clemente Manaog, NSO Naga Provincial Statistics Officer (PSO). Then, the awarding of the glass seal was handed over by Dir. Nieto and Dir. Bragais to NSO’s Regional Director Cynthia L. Perdiz and Mr. Manaog together with all the other PSOs in the province of Bicol Region. NSO Naga takes pride being the second recipient in the Province of Camarines Sur and the FIRST among the NSOs in the country. Aside from the glass seal, a cheque amounting to Php75,000.00 was given to the awardee.

Through the magnificence of technology, Chair Francisco T. Duque III, MD, MSc delivered his congratulatory message via teleconferencing.

Among the luminaries present during the awarding was the City Mayor of Naga, Hon. John G. Bongat, who gave an inspiring message, encouraging all the other government agencies and local government units in Naga City to be ARTA compliant and render quality and efficient service to public. Heads of offices present were Ms. Analiza Macatangay of the Philippine Information Agency, (PIA) , Supt. Gilbert Sadsad of DepEd Cam. Sur and Dr. Richard Cordial, Campus Director  of Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges Naga Campus.    There were also some office representatives from various offices in Naga City like Department of Agriculture Regional Office No. 5, Social Security System, Metro Naga Water District, Bicol Medical Center and Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

The broadcast media came in full force as well with the presence of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) President, Mr. Elmer Abad together with other media practitioners from the national and local TV and radio networks like ABS-CBN, GMA 7 and DWRB. Ms. Zarah Z. Arroyo of CSC RO5 Public Assistance and Liaison Division (PALD) hosted the ceremony.
